Corporate, School & Social Teams are invited to our
Inaugural Dragon Boat Festival
Register as a full team of 20, however smaller teams can be combined on the day.
Team Entry Fee $300 per boat or $15 per paddler ($10 Juniors 12-18 years) Your entry
includes 2 sessions of training with an experienced coach on 17th & 24th May
prior to the regatta (includes Sports insurance cover)
All equipment is supplied including life jackets
2nd Boat ramp in McLeod Street, Condong
Dragon Boat racing from 9am to approx. 3pm.
Races held in the morning and finals after lunch. All paddlers to arrive at venue by 8:15 am

Hi All,
Currumbin’s Dragonboat Regatta is on Saturday 15th September.
First race is at 8 a.m.
Expected finish for the Sports races is 12-30 p.m. to be followed by an afternoon of Corporate races.
Everyone is to be there on Currumbin Creek, east of the RSL Club, NO LATER THAN 7-15A.M.
Everyone is welcome, including all the “newbies” as this is great fun, and a great learning experience.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP IF YOU ARE ABLE/UNABLE TO ATTEND THIS REGATTA.
Cost will be $10 for the day’s racing.

The Currumbin Creek regatta held yesterday was a great day for our Club, showcasing our friendliness, comaradiery and true fighting spirit.Low tides created a difficult racing course, at times, but we are proud of our efforts and results. The Club had 44 members take part, with Broadwater winning the Masters Mixed major final, placing second in the Premier Mixed, Juniors and Premier Mens, and 4th in the Premier Womens ( from Lane 4 at very low tide).The Club also had 8 Juniors race not only in their Junior division, but also in the Premier Men,Women and Mixed teams. A job well done by all. Thank you.

Hi All,
Please note that the Nerang Market display planned for this Sunday has been postponed, and also the Come & Try Day for next Saturday has also been postponed to a later date.
This is due to the Coach’s busy work schedule and to the fact that Paul and I have been very busy over the past 3 weeks with the Worlds and 3 days officiating at the Dragons Abreast World Championships in Caloundra last weekend it has been difficult to get everything organized.
It will happen, just not this weekend.
Sunday 14th October- Gold Coast Chinese Dragonboat Club Regatta. We need everyone there so we can enter 2 teams- Mixed only. Please sign on THIS SATURDAY OR NEXT TUESDAY, and pay $10 BEFORE THE DAY for race entry fee.

4th Nov-Sunday-
Tri Nations Training Day with Tewaka and Brisbane River Dragons at Colmslie, followed by BBQ. We will be taking a big bus, so everyone is welcome-families and friends-for a fun day out. BYO everything.
