Hi, all
I am not sure if you have had a chance to look around the QDBF’s new
website, so I thought I would give you a quick run down of what is on it.
There are seven sections -
About QDBF – Covering the history of QDBF, latest news, photo gallery
and info about 2009 Nationals, and the QDBF Vision Statement.
About our sport – General info, training and accreditation info,
results and links
Corporate information – Fundings and grants acknowledgment, Dragons
Abreast, Media guide, QDBF Governance, Corporate sponsorship
information and Club Development.
In the Club Development, there is a guide called Dragon Scales. It is
a nine module guide to setting up a club from scratch with documents
templates for agendas, meeting minutes, membership forms, budget
documents, grants and funding info, press release templates and a heap
of other documents that can be used by any club.
New paddlers – a section for people interested in the sport with links
to the clubs by area
Members login – Here you will find minutes from meetings going back to
2005, Insurance documents, and other forms.
Events calendar – if there is something you would like to add, please
let me know.
Contact us.
Hopefully this website will see the sport through the next few years.
If you have anything you would like to contribute, please let me know.
Cheers, Annette

Hi All,
QDBF are re newing completely the QDBF website. All clubs have been asked to update their Club profile.
Please read the below profile, make any suggestions you like re wording, etc, so I can send it to QDBF for inclusion. I am open to any ideas, change, etc. This is just my effort ( very unexperienced).
From their humble beginning in 2001, Broadwater Dragons Paddling Club has developed into one of the strongest three Clubs in Queensland. Through dedication and commitment of all Club members, Broadwater Dragons won Gold and two Bronze medals at the Queensland State Championships in March 2008, of which they are very proud.
Broadwater Dragons was founded in 2001 by eight committed, very enthusiastic and experienced paddlers who shared a common goal of forming a club on friendship, comradiery with a deep desire to compete at the highest level.
Many of Broadwater Dragons’ current members have State, National and International experiences, with some having travelled to all National Championships since 2001; raced in South Africa, China and Canada.
As Broadwater Dragons continues to grow and recruit new members of all ages, it’s ethos of “having fun while getting fit” will never be forgotten. With fun and friendship comes a strong desire to perform to the best of your ability.
Broadwater Dragons trains and paddles on the Nerang River from the Crowne Plaza Royal Pines Resort, Benowa, Gold Coast, Queensland.
