7th- Sunday- Committee Meeting- 10 a.m. at Royal Pines Coffee Shop
14th- Sunday- Sanctuary Cove Prostate Cancer Challenge- 5 km race.
28th-Sunday- “Head of the Tweed” Marathon for all craft-25 km race
28th- Sunday- Broadwater Dragons- “Come & Try Day” at Royal Pines- 10-00 to 12 noon.

Tweed River Dragon Boat Festival

Corporate, School & Social Teams are invited to our  

Inaugural Dragon Boat Festival

Register as a full team of 20, however smaller teams can be combined on the day.

Team Entry Fee $300 per boat or $15 per paddler ($10 Juniors 12-18 years)  Your entry

includes 2 sessions of training with an experienced coach on 17th & 24th May

prior to the regatta (includes Sports insurance cover)

All equipment is supplied including life jackets

2nd Boat ramp in McLeod Street, Condong

Dragon Boat racing from 9am to approx. 3pm.

Races held in the morning and finals after lunch.  All paddlers to arrive at venue by 8:15 am

Presentations at end of racing

Hi All,Below are the points accumulated from each club over the 3 days of racing in the Club Crew Championships at the Nationals.See www.ausdbf.com.au <http://www.ausdbf.com.au>  for all the results.Brisbane River Dragons finished the strongest of all the clubs competing, with BROADWATER DRAGONS coming 4th from 40 Clubs.1.  Brisbane River Dragons (Qld)-  252 pts2.  Pacific Dragons (NSW)-170 pts3.  Ice Dragons (ACT)- 139 pts4. Thank you to all the above who have volunteered, still looking for a couple of onion cutters for the Friday afternoon before.  Please let myself or Karen know if you are available.

Nibblies on arrival, dinner to follow.
Tickets on sale until 17th May 2009, due to catering purposes.  
Either pay Sylvia or direct deposit into Broadwaters account and notify Karen of payment.
Collect tickets from Sylvia at training.
Tickets $20 per person.
 
When purchasing your ticket please choose one of the following meals:
Roast of the day with vegetables
Grilled fish with chips & salad
Chicken Parmigana with chips & salad
Roast vegetable & pine nut risotto
 
Entertainment for the night Karaoke & DJ
Smart tidy dress, no shorts, jandals or singlets.
Please note that is an Alfresco style function room.
