Hi Everyone, Expressions of Interest to participate in the Volunteers Officials Course on the 31st January 2009 are being called for. One person from each club.Venue:Virginia Palms Convention:Time : 9 am to 5 pm. If it needs to go on to Sunday, the time will be 8 am to 4 pm.

To all the premier Paddlers, I just want to clarify there is no prem’s training session this weekend Sat 29 Novemeber. An email will be released at the end of this week with the full season’s training and testing dates, as well as locations. Please direct any emails/ phonecalls about the state squad to myself and if required I will refer on to Gary as need be. Thanks for your patience and QLD pride. Roula

For All Broadwater Juniors, Masters (over 40′s) and Grand Masters (over 50′s) who are keen to try out for the Qld State teams who will compete at the Nationals in April 2009 at Caloundra.

This is the first meeting of all interested paddlers, with the QDBF State Coaches, to find out what is expected, what will be happening, etc.

The Australian National Championships will be raced on Thursday 23rd April 2009 over 500m with the best combined teams from each state racing each other- State vs State.  In Qld, paddlers try out for each category and age group, with Qld entering 2 teams (A & B) in each category in every age group.

Then on Fri 24th, Sat 25th, Sun 26th, it is Club vs Club over 1000m, 500m, 200m.  This will determine which clubs will qualify for the World Club Crews In Macau in Sept 2010.

State Team training is not to interfere with Club training, as CLUB TRAINING COMES FIRST.

Below are the details on what is happening this Sunday-16th Nov re State team training.

Travel by Bus. Cost- $10 for bus, $10 for racing= $20 in total

Pick up at Royal Pines, and Siganto Dve, Helensvale. TIMES TO BE POSTED.

PLEASE ADVISE ME ASAP IF YOU ARE COMING TO THE REDCLIFFE REGATTA. I HAVE THOSE WHO HAVE SIGNED ON AT TRAINING TUESDAY NIGHT.

Hi All,

I have informed QDBF that the State Squad training session on 16th Nov is at 9 a.m. and Broadwater trains from 8 to 9-30 a.m.
State Squad stuff is not to interfere in any way with Club training, as Broadwater is focusing on the States and Nationals as “Broadwater”.
