The AGM will be held on 6 September 2008 at Hockey HQ on Lytton Road. Hopefully, this venue will prove to easy to get to from both north and south of the city. www.hqonlytton.com.au
The afternnoon will start at 1.45 for 2 pm with a guest speaker. We are pleased to announce that Gail Austen has agreed to speak to us about how to get the best out of our sport.
Gail is the owner and manager of Goodtime, a business with a 36 year tradition in natural energy surf sports (a unique position for a woman in a very much male dominated arena). An industry leader, Goodtime revolutionised the retail surf sports industry in Australia, pioneering innovative designs and technologies throughout its 36 year history. The meeting will follow Gail’s talk where among other things, we will elect the new committee for the next 12 months.
This is one time we get everyone together off-water, so it would be good to see as many of you as possible.
We particularly want regional groups to participate, so have organised Telstra Conferencing for the event. This means you can get together where ever you like and join in. All you need is a phone with a speaker. Contact me for more details.
